Mac King at Harrahs

Mac King’s Comedy Magic show makes me really happy. It is a family friendly (very kid oriented, really) magic and comedy show that still has a lot to offer adults.

At its core, the show is a magic show with rope tricks, card tricks, sleight of hand, fire, some magical appearances and disappearances and his signature goldfish tricks. The show is really well written and has some finely crafted humor woven into it. (something you can hone during a show that has been running for almost 20 years). There is also a lot of room for improv during the audience participation segment. (a few for kids and a few for adults).

Don’t let the afternoon time slot (1p and 3p) fool you. This is a high quality show. The afternoon time slot is a reflection of the kid/family friendly focus, not the show quality. It isn’t as flashy and boisterous as Penn & Teller, but it shares a lot of the sensibilities for a much more reasonable price.

Total Rewards now Caesars Rewards

The headline really says it all. They have changed the name to better identify with the Caesars brand, but the only real changes aside from the name are:

  • Platinum players and above receive 1 free night in Las Vegas or Atlantic City for every 5,000 Tier Credits earned in 2019 (up to a maximum of 7 nights).
  • Diamond & Seven Star players receive 2 free nights at the new Caesars Resort Dubai.

Earning rates remain the same. Your account number remains the same. The daily tier bonus levels remain the same. Most tier benefits are unchanged. The Salute Card is still available.

LINQ & Flamingo Bunk Bed Room Occupancy

You may have seen that The LINQ and Flamingo now have rooms with bunk beds. They advertise them as “perfect for a family, a large group of friends, or hosting a fun get-together “.

You need to check the fine print before you start making calls and planning that party weekend in Vegas, though. Those rooms are still listed with a maximum occupancy of 4 people. That includes kids. They also have an extra $30 per-person charge for more than 2 people. Those limitations and fees are normal for a regular room, but seem counter to the point of having a bunk bed room. Caesars Total Rewards Tier Benefit Shows 2020

Due to COVID-19 precautions, all shows are currently cancelled. I will revise the page again once shows open, but that may not be until 2021.

I don’t have a new list yet. The only change with this update its the return of the High Roller comp for Diamond and Seven Stars players.

Here is the current list of monthly Tier Benefit Shows for Caesars Rewards players in Las Vegas.
There are a lot of changes this month. The Bronx Wanderers is now at Harrah’s. The new shows, Extravaganza and Iluminate have been added at Bally’s and Planet Hollywood. FRIENDS the Musical Parody is now at Paris.

Diamond and Seven Stars players get 2 free tickets per calendar month. The shows are buy 1, get 1 free for Platinum players. Brooklyn Bowl shows are Diamond / Seven Star only.

The High Roller is available again. Diamond and Seven Stars members receive free tickets, Gold and Platinum members receive buy one, get one free tickets. Visit a Caesars Rewards Center to take advantage of this benefit.
