myVEGAS Overview

I’ve been playing and writing about myVEGAS since it started. It has evolved a lot over the years. While I have discussed many aspects of it, some of that info is only in the comments or is spread across multiple posts.  This is my attempt at sharing as much as possible in one post (with links to  a few existing posts with more detail).

What is myVEGAS?

myVEGAS is a family of games produced by PLAYSTUDIOS.   The games currently include myVEGAS and myKonamiSlots on Facebook as well as myVEGAS Slots, MyKonamiSlots, PopSlots and myVEGAS Blackjack for Android and iOS devices. All of these games are linked through Facebook and you need a Facebook account in order to earn Rewards.

What’s all the fuss about?

myVEGAS adds Carnival Cruise Rewards

myVEGAS has added Carnival Cruise Line as a Partner.

Carnival Cruise Rewards are limited to 3 per player in a 90 day rolling period (similar to  the MGM Rewards 3 in 30 Days limitation, but this is 3 in 90). They are also limited to one Reward per sailing (which makes sense, since they are only offering cruises, not add-ons).

The Rewards are good for one room with 2 people. Rewards must be booked within 14 days (the cruise itself can be much further in the future – right now, dates through July 2018 are available)

Total Rewards Diamond Tier Matching

Total Rewards is running a tier matching promotion through  September 30,  2017. This is not just for Las Vegas and Atlantic City. They are running it for many regions across the US.  If you have a high tier card from a competitor’s casino, Total Reward will upgrade you to Diamond status, good through  January 31, 2018 (the standard expiration date for Total Rewards tiers). They will also allow you to renew your new Diamond status for a reduced rate, based upon when you do your tier matching. Continue reading Total Rewards Diamond Tier Matching

The W Las Vegas coming to SLS

The W Hotel brand is opening in Las Vegas in December. The W Las Vegas will be taking over the former Lux Tower at SLS Las Vegas. Like the other hotel within a hotel options, The W will have its own lobby and check-in area.

The W is part of the Starwood Prefered Guest program, which is now linked with Marriott Rewards and the Ritz Carlton Rewards, allowing you to earn, use and transfer points between your linked accounts.

myVEGAS adds new app (and other updates)

Playstudios, the makers of myVEGAS, have added the new  POP!  Slots   mobile app to their myVEGAS lineup.  POP! SlotsThe app syncs with your existing myVEGAS accounts and is based around MGM casinos. Like the other myVEGAS apps, your chips and level are specific to the app, but your Loyalty Points (Gold Coins) are synced across all of the linked apps.
