Free Self-Driving Shuttle in Downtown Las Vegas

AAA is doing a year-long test of a driverless shuttle in downtown Las Vegas.  It runs a loop  from Fremont Street, to 8th St, to Carson Ave, To Las Vegas Blvd, back to Fremont Street.loop for self driving shuttle

The shuttle runs from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday through Sunday. You do not have to be a AAA member to ride the free shuttle. The main stop is at the Downtown Container Park (7th and Fremont Street) with additional stops near the  Fremont Street Experience and The Donut Bar. Getting Around: Cabs, Lyft and Uber



I typically do not rent a car when I visit Las Vegas and I discourage others from renting cars unless they specifically know that they will need one. There are still times when you want an option other than walking, the Monorail or the bus, though. Up until recently, my preferred method had been cab. That all changed during my recent trips. Parking on the Strip



As a general rule, hotels on the Strip are now charging to park.
MGM  Resorts properties varies it a little from hotel to hotel. You can see those details on my MGM Parking post. I have another page with details for parking at Caesars Entertainment properties.

Caesars Las Vegas Hotels Parking Charges

Caesars joined the ranks of other hotels to charge for parking. They allow a 1 hour grace period – the first hour of self-parking is free, but after that, you will have to pay to park at all Caesars properties except the Rio (which is off-Strip) and Planet Hollywood (which does charge for valet).

Hotel guests can charge the parking fee to their room, using their room key for access at all Caesars Entertainment hotels.

Total Rewards Platinum, Diamond and Seven Stars players receive free self- and valet-parking. Your Total Rewards card is used for access. Continue reading Caesars Las Vegas Hotels Parking Charges
