Total Rewards changed a few things on April 1, 2012 (and this is no April Fool’s joke).
They have cut some of the perks they used to give higher level players (like free shows for Diamond and 7Stars players), but they have made the overall system a little more transparent to the typical Las Vegas visitor.  Part of that transparency can be found on their new Tier Rewards and Benefits page which lists how many Tier Credits you get for gaming activities as well as shopping, dining and hotel expenses.
They have also continued rolling out their dining discounts and casino gift shop discounts.
