Total Rewards Overview

(UPDATED NOVEMBER 11, 2017)
The Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards players club revamped a few things at the start of 2016. I mentioned most of them in previous posts, but thought it would be good to have everything in one post and include the basics, too. Here it is.

In Las Vegas, the Total Rewards card is the players club card for Bally’s, Caesars Palace, Cromwell, Flamingo, Harrah’s, Paris, Planet Hollywood, The LINQ, and Rio.  The Total Rewards card is also used at other Caesars owned casinos across the country. Full a full list visit the Total Rewards casino locator website.  You can sign up for the card online or visit the Total Rewards desk at the casino.

When you play and use your Total Rewards card, you earn 2 types of points or credits.  You earn Tier Credits, which advance your tier level. You also earn Reward Credits, which are your comps.

Tier Credits and Reward Credits are earned at the same rate of 1 credit per $5 of coin in on a slot machine and 1 credit per $10 of coin in on a video poker machine. Credits for table games will vary with your average bet size, playing time, the specific table game and, in some cases, the perceived skill level of the player.
Total Rewards also lets you earn Tier Credits and Rewards Credits for dining, shopping and room charges at Caesars owned properties.
You earn 1 Reward Credit per $1 spent and 1 Tier Credit per $1 spent.

A Reward Credit is equal to 1 cent in comps. 100 Reward Credits = $1.00 of comp value. Those Reward Credits can be used to ‘pay with points’ at participating stores, restaurants and bars or can be used towards room charges at Caesars owned resorts.  Rewards Credits can be stored or banked indefinitely, but if your account is inactive for 6 months, the credits will expire and be forfeited.  When you log in to the My TR site, it will show you  your current Reward Credit balance as well as when they expire.

On January 1st, 2013 Total Rewards started a Tier Credit Bonuses program which gives you additional Tier Credits for earning certain amounts of Tier Credits in a single casino/gaming day (typically a 24 hour period between 6:00am one day and 5:59am the following morning)

  • If you earn 500 Tier Credits in one day, you receive 125 bonus Tier Credits
  • If you earn 1000 Tier Credits in one day, you receive 1000 bonus Tier Credits
  • If you earn 2500 Tier Credits in one day, you receive 5000 bonus Tier Credits
  • If you earn 5000 Tier Credits in one day, you receive 10,000 bonus Tier Credits
Only the highest bonus achieved is awarded.
Earning 2500 Tier Credits plus the 5000 bonus Tier Credits is enough to give you Platinum status in a single day. Earning  5000 Tier Credits plus the 10,000 bonus Tier Credits is enough to give you Diamond status in a single day

For more information on the bonuses, visit the Total Rewards site.

The Tier Credits are only used to determine your tier level. There are 4 tiers in the Total Rewards program: Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Seven Star.
Higher tiers have automatic benefits. It is typical for players at higher tiers to receive comped rooms and freeplay offers, but those are based upon their rated play and are not tied to their Tier status. Tier Credits reset on January 1st, every year. Tier status is good from the moment you achieve it, through the rest of that year and the next year until January   31st of the following year (This is a change for 2016). If you earn Platinum status in February 2016, it will be good for the rest of 2016, all of 2017, and will expire on January   31st, 2018.

Gold is the base tier. You are Gold when you sign up for the card whether you play or not. Gold card benefits include:

Platinum is the next level up. It requires earning 5000 Tier Credits in a calendar year.
It has the benefits of the Gold card plus:
