The South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa is located far enough from the action of the Strip that if you are staying there or want to visit it for good video poker games and a meal and Steak ‘n Shake you will either want to have a car or familiarize yourself with their shuttle schedule. You could also take an RTC bus, but that requires taking multiple buses before getting to the Strip.

The Hard Rock Hotel has a $22 per night Resort Fee. Once tax is applied it is $24.64 per night. I think most us of are getting accustomed to resort fees, but what they cover varies from hotel to hotel. To help you out, the Hard Rock Hotel gives you a card when you check in that lists what their resort fee covers as well as details about the fitness center and shuttle locations.

The free Coast Casinos shuttle that runs a shuttle between the Gold Coast (South entrance), the Orleans (South entrance) and the Strip has changed its Strip location to the High Roller valet.

The two cheapest ways to get around Las Vegas are to walk and to catch the various free shuttles. Here is a list of free shuttles.
The Rio (updated Feb. 11, 2016):
The Rio runs 2 shuttles to the Strip every 30 minutes from 10am – 1am. One shuttle runs from the Rio (by the Carnival World Buffet entrance) to Harrah’s (at the Bus drop off near the front lobby). The second shuttle runs from the Rio to Bally’s (North entrance / Flamingo Rd. / near the Sports Book). Total Rewards Diamond and 7Stars card members receive priority, but the shuttles are free to all.
The Palms :
