New Total Rewards Partnership: Starwood Hotels

Total Rewards has partnered with Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Total Rewards (TR) members will earn 100 Tier Credits per eligible stay at a Starwood Resort, up to a maximum of 2,500 Tier credits per year. TR Platinum, Diamond and Seven Star members will also earn 1 Reward Credit per $1 spent at Starwood Resorts. Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) members will earn 2 Starwood Points per $1 spent at participating Total Rewards Resorts.  You can earn TR Credits and SPG Points for the same stay.

TR Seven Stars members will be upgraded to SPG Gold.  SPG Gold status gets you 3 SPG Points per $1 spent as well as late checkout at Starwood Hotels. That upgrade will not expire as long as you maintain Seven Star status. Elite SPG members will not receive upgraded TR status.

You can sign up now, but the benefits won’t be activated until January 9, 2014.

The current list of participating TR resorts is currently limited to:

  1. Did you know that there is a short cut to Starwood Gold status with just one stay in Asia-Pacific? It comes in handy for everyone who will loose status in March. We outlined it a couple of weeks ago (just search for Starwood Gold on mightytravels dot com)

    1. Just to clarify, when Torsten mentions losing status in the previous comment, that status is Starwood Preferred Guest status. One stay in an Asia-Pacific Starwood Hotel is not a shortcut to a higher Total Rewards status.
