(updated August , 2018)
When myVEGAS launched, the only Rewards available were from MGM/Mlife. That meant the Reward redemption process was fairly consistent. Now that myVEGAS has so many partners, it can get confusing. Here are the Reward redemption processes for each of the myVEGAS partners.
MGM/Mlife Rewards:
This applies to Rewards from Aria, Bellagio, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Mirage, Park MGM, New York – New York and Vdara in Las Vegas as well as Beau Rivage and Gold Strike on the Gulf Coast, Borgata in New Jersey and MGM National Harbor in Maryland .
For rooms and shows, you will receive an email with the Rewards code and a ‘Click to Redeem’ link that you will need to use to book your room online. The link should be http://mlife.com/mgm-web/deeplink/en/v1/myvegas/xxxxxx (with the xxxxxx at the end being replaced by your redemption code).
For almost all other MGM/Mlife Rewards, go to the Mlife desk and they will put the Reward on your Mlife card. Nine Fine Irishmen Rewards are the only exception that I am aware of. For those, you will be handed a paper comp at the Mlife desk to take to the restaurant.
There is a usage limit of 3 MGM Rewards per rolling 30 day period. Most Rewards are limited to one of each particular Reward per myVEGAS account. You are only permitted to have one Comp Room Reward in your ‘wallet’ at a time. You can have a Discount Room and Comp Room Reward at the same time. A single Discount Room Reward can be used for multiple nights.
Read the fine print for your specific Reward.
Combining reservations:
For a $5-15 fee you can call the MGM reward redemption line at 855.881.6074 and alter your booking reservation — for example, if you and another player are traveling together and each redeeming a room night reward and would like to merge your reservation to avoid switching rooms and/or checking in and out between nights.
Circus Circus is an MGM property, but it is not part of the Mlife players club. You need to be a member of the Circus Players Club to use these Rewards. For rooms you will receive a Reward code and a phone number to call to make your reservation. For all other Circus Circus Rewards, go to the Circus Players Club desk desk and they will put the reward on your card.
Circus Circus Rewards count towards your 3 in 30 Day MGM Rewards limit.
House of Blues:
Go to the House of Blues Store with your Reward code. They will give you a voucher to use at the restaurant or club.
There are no usage limits on House of Blues Rewards, but you are only allowed one of each particular Reward per myVEGAS account.
Monorail:
Take the Reward code to a Monorail Customer Service Kiosk where they will give you your Monorail pass.
There are no usage limitations on Monorail Rewards. You can get up to 4 of each Reward per myVEGAS account.
Hexx (formerly the Sugar Factory):
Present the code at the store.
There are no usage limits, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
Wolfgang Puck:
Call the number provided in your confirmation email to make your reservation. When you arrive for your reservation, let the host know that you are redeeming your Reward and give them the confirmation code..
There are no usage limits on Wolfgang Puck Rewards, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
The Hippodrome Casino:
For shows, you will receive a Reward code and a phone number to call. For everything else, take your Reward code to the Hippodrome reception desk.
Usage is limited to 2 Rewards in 24 hours.
Resorts World Casinos:
Take your confirmation code to the Genting Rewards desk at the casino.
There are no usage limits, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
GVC Casinos:
Take your confirmation code to the Encore Rewards desk at the casino.
There are no usage limits, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
Royal Caribbean:
You will receive a Reward code and a phone number to call. Rewards are only good towards new bookings.
RCL Rewards are limited to 1 per sailing and 2 per 180 days.
The Smith Center:
You will receive a Reward code and a phone number to call.
There are no usage limits on Smith Center Rewards, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
Maverick Helicopters:
For tours, you will need to call 702-851-2535 with your Reward code. For photo and merchandise discounts, present your confirmation email at the gifts shop.
There are no usage limits, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
Gray Line Tours:
You will receive a Reward code and a phone number to call.
There are no usage limits, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
Top Golf:
Present printed confirmation email when making purchase.
There are no usage limits, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
Uniquely Vegas/Aussie/Cali/Asia:
Process varies but for most Rewards, take your confirmation code to the box office or gift shop. Some tours require calling with your code.
There are no usage limits, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
Sea Life AZ:
Take your confirmation code to the Box Office.
There are no usage limits, but you are only allowed one of each specific Reward per myVEGAS account.
Hi Mark,
When calling their number for booking, do I call them before redeeming the online link or after? I plan to use one comp night from my wife’s account, pay for one night and two comp nights from my account in that order. I just want that to go smoothly. Thanks for you help.
Also, is there a way to avoid calling and save the fee by merging the booking at check-in. I remember doing that 3 yrs ago but I think all 3 comp nights were under my name.
Thanks
Hi.
A lot has changed in the past 3 years. You can still ask for them to be combined when you check in, but there is no guarantee that you won’t have to check-in/check-out/switch rooms for each reservation.
While I am not a fan of the fee, it ultimately comes down to this. Is it worth it to know that the reservations have been combined? If it is nice, but not critical, I’d ask about it when checking in (with the full understanding that they may tell you no). If having to switch room will ruin or interfere with your plans, I’d go ahead an give them a call.
Make your reservations and then call them to combine them.
How do I get in contact by phone with a person from MyVegas.com?
You can try their ‘Loyalty Point Redemption Line’. It is 855-881-6074.
We’ve booked our rooms at Excalibur for 1 week (with 2 nights comped for Mlife tier rewards) and purchased a 1 night free Myvegas reward as well. We received the Myvegas email link but it won’t match up our reservation and let us pick a free night although the calendar shows there are 3 more nights available to be comped/free. Any hints (other than call Myvegas for a $10 fee) on why it won’t allow us to add this free night to our room reservation? Should we at until we arrive next month and redeem it in person?
Hi.
Comp Room Rewards need to be booked online ahead of time, so trying to do it in person won’t work.
If the online system is not letting you book the comped room, I would suggest calling myVEGAS to sort it out. It may also be an issue with trying to book the myVEGAS Comp Room and use an Mlife offer at the same time.
Take Care,
Mark
Is it possible to use more than one Wolfgang Puck reward at one table (i.e. could two of us get bogof entree, appetiser and a bottle of wine?).
I wanted to use my reward points for a vacation, however my dates were not available this has happened to me 3 times !!!! This last time I encountered a rude person on the phone that told me that they can’t just let anyone use the points whenever because people sit at home playing all day and night just to get points !!!!! Then get free stuff !!!! I have bought coin packages in the past and enjoyed my Vegas but am very disappointed !!!! Can’t use a lot of the points if you are not registered in the hotel as well such as buffet tickets !!!! However there isn’t any rooms for our points !!!!!
Hi Cheri.
The Rewards for MGM properties are definitely more limited than they were when myVEGAS started. myVEGAS does have a lot of non-MGM partners, though, which don’t require staying at an MGM Property. Many of them and their details are listed in this post.
You can also see what hotel dates are available on my Rewards Calendars page without having to call.
These rewards were not valid for the dates I wanted to go, therefore, I was unable to use them. Can you put them back in my account so I can use them for something else?
Hi Derek.
I am not affiliated with myVEGAS. I have instructions on how to cancel a Reward on my myVEGAS Makes It Easier to Cancel a Reward page, though.
Does anyone know the answer to this. My sister and I are coming to Vegas in April. We both have over a million points. I was planning on using a reward for 2 free nights, and buying the third. We would both like to purchase some of the free play, but understand the 3 nights requirement. Will they let both of us buy the rewards if we are sharing the room. I have been trying to email Them, but the email won’t go through. Thanks if anyone knows.
As long as you are both on the room as registered guests for the 3 nights you should be able to use the FreePlay Reward. Just make sure that both of your names are put on the room when you check in.
Thank you so much. I still get through to Play Studios when I try to send their questions form. Is there a telephone no, and Thanks for the site. I love to read the questions, and information. Karen
Call the hotel you plan on staying make sure your dates are available. It has been my experience that a lot of dates are unavailable.
I highly recommend checking the available dates before getting the Reward. I have availability calendars for the MGM properties here.
Does Thunder from down under ever reset… I feel like it’s been sold out for months??
Also, if I am ever able to get one of these tickets, can I still sit with my party?
Thanks!!!
The Thunder From Down Under Reward does refresh on a regular basis. I do not know what time it does that, though.
The show has assigned seating, so sitting with your group may not be an option if you do not buy the tickets together or coordinate your tickets. You can see the table and seat option on the Thunder From Down Under ticketing page. If your group has already purchased tickets, I suggest finding out where they are sitting and then going to the Thunder site (https://www.excalibur.com/en/entertainment/thunder-from-down-under.html) to see if there are any seats available at the table(s) with your group.
Why are there no shows for rewards now? No tournament of kings, zumanity, etc. I had been playing all year, and the rewards were always there. Now I go to redeem them, they are all gone. No shows anywhere???
I might be wrong but I saw a shows at LV a few days ago. All you need to do is to change settings. I was using FF with the latest version of flash/java. Are you seeing the website properly? How many chips you have on your account?
The Cirque and casino based shows did disappear for a little bit while the Rewards changed. They are back, but the options are a bit more limited than they used to be.
I sent an email several days ago inquiring when the “My Vegas” rewards for Las Vegas will be reloaded for 2017? We are going there the first week in January & all of the rewards expire on 12/30/16? Thanks!
Hi Pat.
There is some confusing/contradictory info in the fine print. The ‘Booking Window’ for most of the Room Rewards is now through June 29 or 30, 2017. The Travel Window is the same. It took me a while to find the 12/30/16 expiration date your mention. I am only seeing that on the Mandalay Bay one. I would suggest getting your Reward now and booking the room. The Travel Dates listed are still good through the end of June.
1. There is a condition that one night stay at MGM resort is required for redeeming some free or 2-for 1 buffet. Does the one night stay must be the same day as our buffet. For example, may i stay at Red Rock for one night on 11/20 and redeem the Bellagio buffer on 11/24?
2. May I still can redeem a free night vie MyVagas reward if we have three people? Any additional fee for the extra guest?
Thanks a lot.
Hi Andy.
I’m glad you asked. Red Rock is not an MGM property, so it does not count as a staying at an MGM Resort for the Bellagio Buffet Reward. If it were, those days would still be too far apart. You can use the ‘stay required’ Rewards at any point while you are checked in to an MGM Resort as well as the following day. Just make sure that you get it loaded to your card while you are checked in to an MGM Resort.
Also, looking at the dates, 11/24 is Thanksgiving. The Bellagio Buffet is not likely to honor a discount or Reward on Thanksgiving or any holiday.
You can use a comp night Reward for 3 people. You will have to pay a fee for the third person. They charge the same extra person fee when the room is not comped, too. It will be specified when you make the reservation. If you have already made the reservation (which I hope you have since those dates are next week), but only did it for 2 people instead of 3, they will add it when you check in. It tends to be in the $20-$30 range, but varies from hotel to hotel.
Take Care,
Mark
For the Wolfgang Puck rewards, can me and a friend each redeem the Free Entrée – MGM Grand and Free Entrée – Cucina? We will be using our own MyVegas accounts to redeem. Thanks.
You both can use the Rewards, but they both require actually purchasing and paying for an entree. I would also suggest getting separate checks to make it easier to process.
If you both used the Reward, you would need to order at least 4 entrees, 2 of which would be free. So if you were going with a group of 4 people or were really hungry, that should work. If you were only planning on getting 2 entrees, you would only be able to use one of the Rewards.
Thanks for the reply Mark. Sorry, I should have mentioned that there are three of us. I shiuld get the free appetizer with purchase of an entee instead. I couldn’t do this with the other place’s B1G1 entree right? Such as the Mirage’so Portofino’s B1G1 entree, because it says 1 redemption per reservation. What other places do you recommend on Fridays and Saturdays? And last question, do you know if I get a free complimentary room on Wednesday, can I use that to redeem for free comp buffet at Bellagio on Thursday? Thanks man, you’re the best.
Hi Joe.
You are going to have to read the fine print for some of that. There are too many possibilities for me to really address.
I did re-read the Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill details on mobile and it says ‘one redemption per table’. I don’t recall that when I checked on Facebook yesterday. I still think you should be able to have one person use the Free Entree and another person using their own Free Appetizer Reward (with 3 people, paying for 2 entrees and getting a free entree and appetizer), but I cannot guarantee it.
Recommendations for Friday and Saturday … Well that really depends upon what you want (and I don’t know what you want).
The first things that come to mind for me are the same places I’d choose any night. Olives (at the Bellagio), STK (at the Cosmopolitan), Bazaar Meat (at SLS), Koi (at Planet Hollywood), RM Seafood (at Mandalay Bay).
You can use the Bellagio Buffet comp the next day. Just make sure to get it loaded onto your card while you are checked in to an MGM hotel.
Take Care,
Mark
Can I open a new facebook account and earn rewards again? I’d like to see KA again but have already used it on my original account.
No. That is against the terms of service. You will probably run into a problem with it already being on your Mlife acct, too. If you saw Ka a long time ago, you may be able to get the Reward again. When they refresh the Rewards, they also reset your usage of them. For example, I have used the Heritage Steak Reward twice already (over the past few years), but was able to get another one recently.
They do not advertise when they have refreshed/renewed the Rewards, but it is worth checking. When you try to use your LP’s to get the Reward, when you fill in your information and click Confirm. it will tell you if you have already used the Reward from the current batch or if there is another limitation that might affect your use or the Reward.
Hi, I have a question. I want to redeem a companion ticket to LOVE by Cirque Du Soleil, but it’s really confusing for me. I’m not quite sure which the seats are, since I can’t find the price myVegas lists in the cirque web site. Besides, how can I buy the tickets in advance? Any help would be truly appreciated
Hi.
When you purchase the Reward, you will be sent an email with a link to use to buy your actual tickets. You will need to buy the comped Companion ticket and the regular price ticket at the same time. You will be able to choose your seats (or let the computer do it) just like any other online ticket service.
The Standard Companion is for a Category D ticket. The Premium Companion is for a Category C ticket.
You do need to buy your tickets in advance.
Uh oh – you can only have one room comp in your wallet?
I was going to use my 3 rewards for room comps in Jan. I planned on reserving them right at the 90 day period? Does this mean you cant plan on using them in advance? I have to wait and see?
Hi.
You won’t be able to use 3 MGM Comp Room Rewards for the same trip.
You have to reserve the comp rooms in advance. And you can only use 1 Comp Room Reward per trip. You can only get one of each Comp Room Reward per account, too (for example, if you get the MGM Grand Comp Room Reward, you won’t be able to get it again). It will probably say “This Reward is limited to 1 per myVEGAS player”. Check the fine print for the Rewards you want.
I have to cancel my reward points that I used for 1night at the MGM. Husband getting surgery. How do I do this? My date was October 9th.
Hi.
As long as you have not reserved the room, you can cancel the Reward and get your Loyalty Points back. I go over the process in my Cancel A Reward post.
If you have already reserved the room (and the Reward is no longer in your myVEGAS Wallet), the Loyalty Points are gone. You will still want to log in to Mlife to cancel your reservation, though.
how long does the email take to receive?
You should receive the email within a matter of minutes.
Have they completly removed the wolfgang puck 241 tasting menu? I have been saving towards it for months and now im almost there (as in a thousand away) I can not find the offer. Im L145. Many thanks
Hi.
I don’t see it either. I don’t know whether it has been permanently discontinued or not, though.
It seems the process for at least some shows has now changed, as I was able to book a ticket online and was immediately emailed the ticket to print at home.
The reward now no longer appears in my wallet, does this mean I can now do another 3 MGM rewards?
So once you redeem a show and its gone from your wallet, CAN you use 3 more rewards in the same period of the show?
Thanks for the process update info. It sounds like they have been moving to ‘print at home’ tickets more and more.
It still counts towards your 3 in 30 days limit during your trip since it is not considered to actually be used until you see the show.
im going to vegas mid october and ive earned some rewards things, but i read that all the points will be wiped as of september 30th, does this mean that the shows, buffet tickets etc will be wiped off aswell or will they still be there for me to use and not have to earn them again?
Hi.
I am not aware of myVEGAS resetting anything on September 30th. That sounds more like Mlife’s resetting of your Tier Credits. Mlife resets your Tier Credits every year at the end of the day on September 30th, so you start their tracking year on October 1 with 0 Tier Credits. Your Mlife Express Comp balance stays the same, so you don’t lose any comps. You can read a little more about that in my MGM Mlife overview.
I know it is a little confusing, but Mlife and myVEGAS are two separate entities. Mlife’s resetting of your Tier Credits has no impact on myVEGAS. The myVEGAS Rewards your have purchased are still there and available. The LP’s you have earned will still be still there to purchase more Rewards.
Is there any way to know what “Blackout dates” are for the buffet rewards? I just want to be sure I can use them when we are there in October.
As a general rule, holidays (sometimes holiday weekends) are blackout dates. Most of the buffet Rewards list the specific blackout dates in their details.
I am planning to redeem some rewards for our trip to Las Vegas. When claiming my reward at the MLife counter can I just use my MLife card or do I need to show id?
You will need to show your ID. As a general rule, you should have your ID on you at all times when in Las Vegas.
HI there, I have got an error message when trying to sign up to mlife a few times now. I already have 3 rewards purchased in my wallet for my holiday next week.are you able to tell me if it’s ok for me to wait til I get to the hotel to sign up to mlife, and still be able to redeem the rewards I have reserved? Thanks for your help
Hi.
As long as you are not trying to do something that requires and advanced reservation (like a Room or Show Reward), you can sign up for an Mlife account in person when you get to Las Vegas. It will just take a little extra time. When you sign up for the Mlife card, make sure that the information you enter for your Mlife account matches the name and email address on your myVEGAS rewards account.
You can also call Mlife Member Services at (866) 761-7111.
I want to go to Tom Collecios Heritage in the Mirage. I can get up to $30 off bill. I can purchase 3 of these. I dont see where it says I cannot use all 3 at one time but have a hard time believing I could. Do you know the rules on that? Also, if I want to change my mind while in Vegas can they refund my credits to be used for something else?
Thanks, James
Hi.
You cannot purchase 3 of the Heritage Steak Rewards (I wish you could). The Reward is limited to 1 per myVEGAS player. Once you buy one, it will not let you buy another (I’ve tried).
You can cancel your Rewards when you are in Vegas and get your LP’s back (as long as the Rewards have not been redeemed). You are better off getting extra Rewards before your trip, deciding which ones to use and then cancelling the ones you don’t later. Rewards that are available for purchase when you are in Las Vegas are limited.
When redeeming for show tickets, any ideas how far in advance these can be booked?
Hi.
You can book show tickets as far in advance as the ticket calendar allows. There is not a separate calendar for show tickets booked through myVEGAS.
If you go to the site for the specific show you want, you will see the show dates that can currently be booked.
For example, tickets to Ka are currently available through December 31st, 2016.
You will need to double check any blackout dates listed on the Reward (most of which are actually just dark nights for the show).
Great, thanks for this.
Any ideas on when stock is replenished?
Would like to book a complimentary ticket for Love, but it always seems to be sold out…
hi mark.. is it possible to use the Vegas flight bogo for 200k as well as apply the $85 per person for 50k for Vegas flight?
Hi.
I’m not seeing anything in the fine print that says you can’t combine those Maverick Rewards, but I would be surprised if they let you do it.
If you have enough LP’s to get both, I’d suggest trying it, but being ready to cancel one of the Rewards based on what works best for you (if you have 2 people, the BOGO is best; if you have 3 people, both Rewards are about the same; if you have 4 people, the $85pp (up to 4 people) is best).
Take Care,
Mark
Let’s say my buddy & I both use our free room comps at MGM, him Wed & me Thurs. We then want to redeem our free dinner buffet at Bellagio. We would also combine our reservations (like you suggested was possible). Does this mean that he can only get his free dinner buffet on Wed night & I can only get mine Thurs night? Basically my question is, how can we both go together for our free dinner buffets? To put it another way, if I get my free room for a Monday then how long do I have to redeem my free dinner buffet? Thanks
Hi.
As long as both of you are registered guests, you can use the buffet comps together. Just make sure to have both of your names on the reservation. You can do that when you combine the reservations or when you check in.
Mahalo & Aloha
Also, just wanted to say thanks for doing the site. It has been very helpful and informative.
Thank you! 🙂
Couple of questions about redeeming myVegas rewards for shows.
Firstly, for something like a ticket for Ka, can I only redeem one ticket, or could I do two – is there a limit? Just wondering how best to get 2 seats together…
Secondly, if a reward like this is redeemed (i.e. I book the show ticket), after the 30 day window in which you can only do 3 redemptions, can I then do another redemption before actually having gone to see the show? Meaning I could make use of a 4th reward during the same trip?
Thanks for your help!
Hi.
For Ka, you can only get one Reward per myVEGAS account, which means you can only get one comp ticket. If you want 2 tickets together, I suggest getting the less expensive Companion Ticket Reward (where you pay for one ticket and get the second free).
When tracking for the 30 day limitation, a Reward is not considered redeemed until the event actually happens. This means for shows, it isn’t considered redeemed until you actually see the show. For rooms it isn’t considered redeemed until you check in to the hotel. You can’t free up a 4th MGM Reward that way. You can still use other non-MGM Rewards, though.
I have more details in my myvegas-3-in-30-days-limitation post.
Thanks for the advice!
We both have plenty of points to use, so will probably just get full ticket rewards each separately, but then see if we can both redeem in the same phone call to get seats together.
And thanks for the tip about what doesn’t count in the 30 days, monorail and/or sugar factory might be the way to go!
On a different note, any idea when the new sugar factory restaurant is due to open at the FSM?
The way the system is setup, you get your show tickets online. I would suggest that the 2 of you go online at the same time on separate computers and get your show tickets. You have the option to choose your seats, so you can both pick seats next to each other.
Take Care,
Mark
Managed to get booked – one complimentary ticket each and used “pick my seats” online straight after one another to make sure we got seats next to each other.
Interestingly, on confirmation of the tickets, we received emails straight away with tickets for the show attached, and the reward is no longer in our wallets, so does that mean we’re freed up for another 3 Mlife rewards now we already have the tickets?
That’s great!
And the process worked as it should. When you book the tickets, they are treated just like any other tickets, so you should get the confirmation email with your confirmation code or e-tickets where applicable.
The Reward should now appear in the ‘Redeemed’ panel of your My Purchases instead of the ‘Redemption Pending’ panel.
The 3 in 30 Limitation clock hasn’t started yet, though. For that, the reward is not considered to be redeemed until you see the show. The show ticket counts as 1 of your 3 for that trip.
You can still use other, non-MGM Rewards, though.
Take Care,
Mark
So will the system physically stop me from redeeming 3 more MGM things?
Yes. When you try to redeem the 4th thing, you will be notified that you’ve already used 3 and it will be declined.
If you buy more than 3 MGM Rewards (which is permitted), you will get a warning that says you have purchased more than you can redeem. You can still buy the Rewards, you just won’t be able to redeem them all during the rolling 3 in 30 day window. I do that on a regular basis. I’ll purchase multiple dining Rewards and then decide which one(s) to actually use during my trip. I’ll either cancel the ones I don’t use or I’ll save them for a future trip.
Great, thanks for the advice!
Final question, a lot of my redemption info (e.g. on screen T&Cs, emails etc) refer to picking up show tickets by no later than 4pm on the day of the show. As I immediately got emailed the tickets, am I right to think I can ignore all of this? I know that sounds a stupid question, but I don’t want to try and get my ticket barcode scanned on the door and find I’m denied entry because I was supposed to do something else!
Thanks again for all your help, great site and service!!
Hi.
If you used the “Tickets by email and on mobile” option for your tickets (and it sounds like you did), that email has your actual ticket. There is nothing to pick up at the box office, so you don’t need to go to the box office before 4pm.
Thanks! I’m glad I could help.
Take Care,
Mark
Hello Mark, I have a trip coming up on June 4, 2016 and I want to use my MyVegas points for a room. Reading to all the post you have, it seems that I can only book for one night. So how can I get three nights? And if I can’t do that, how to get a discounted room or night? Also why do I need the Mlife? Can you redeem or book a room without your actual Mlife card? It is really hard for me if I can’t talk to a real person. Please help me.
Sincerely, Fernandita Nichols
Hi Fernandita.
You can only get one Comp Room through myVEGAS at a time. You can get multiple nights at a discount rate by getting one of the discount room rate Rewards (like 25% off at MGM Grand or $59 per night at Mirage).
Why do you need Mlife? You need it since Mlife is the players club (loyalty card) for MGM Resorts. You can redeem Rewards without the physical Mlife card, but you do need an Mlife account and your account number.
Take Care,
Mark
Hey Mark,
thanks for all the info. I purchased a room reward for the mirage a couple of weeks ago and booked for oct. Now, there is a nice rewards of 2 nights at aria for the summer. If i cancel my mirage reservation, will i be able to purchase the aria reward? Do i need to wait 30 days from purchase? do i need to wait until october? would i be able to do it immediately? i contact myvegas support and all they said is i would not be refunded lp’s, which i even indicated i did not care about getting them back as long as i could purchase the aria reward.
any idea?
Hi Ingrid.
You are welcome. I’m glad you like my site. 🙂
You should be able to cancel the Mirage reservation and book the new Reward. That should process instantly. Emphasis on should. Once that is done, you can buy a new Comp Reward.
The 2 Night Aria Reward doesn’t show up for me, so I can’t give you any details about how readily available it is.
Take Care,
Mark
Hi there Mark
I have a question regarding the only three policy.
How much do you have to spend buying coins to get 4,5,6 pics?
Hi Deb.
The consensus seems to be that spending $50 on coins gets a majority of players a 4th reward, but there is no guarantee of that. I have no idea on how much it takes to get the limit increased to 5 or 6 per 30 days.
My limit is 3 in 30. I have never purchased chips. For me, there isn’t enough value in spending $50 (or more) just to get the option of using a 4th MGM reward during a trip. Everyone’s situation is different, though. I recognize that there may be value in it for others.
Remember that the 3 in 30 only applies to MGM Resorts rewards. You can still use additional rewards from the Monorail, Wolfgang Puck, Stations Casinos, Uniquely Vegas, etc. during your trip, even if you already have 3 MGM Resorts rewards.
Thank you for the info Mark
I did find out that once you do get 4,5,6
They stay there for you every time you go, every year…
So going a lot , ( I mean twice a year) it may pay to purchase ??
Thanks again
Have a great day!

Yes. Once your limit has been increased, it should remain there for future trips.
It doesn’t change anything else, though. You can still only use one comp room night reward per trip/30 days. Many of the rewards are limited to one per myVegas account. You will still only be able to get one of those.
I do not know how much it takes to get your limit increased to 5 rewards, but I would expect it to be at least a few hundred dollars.
I would suggest thinking about which specific rewards you would want to use on your next few trips. Then decide whether there is enough value in getting a 4th or even 5th reward for each of those trips to warrant the purchase of chips.
Hi.
I recently saw someone post that it took about $1000 worth of chip purchases to get their limit increased to 6 rewards per trip. I definitely don’t see the value in that.
Evening!
You state that we can have a comp night reward and an exclusive rate (discount room) reward in our wallet at the same time, but can we redeem them?
Here’s my situation: I’d like to use a comp night and an exclusive rate night for two nights at the Mirage. My husband would like to do the same. We would link them all at the check in desk upon arrival. Is this possible?
Thank you!
I have not done it myself, but I have heard from others who have combined comped and discounted nights. You will probably be able to combine the reservations once you check in, but that isn’t guaranteed. If it is important, you can call the MGM Reward redemption line (855.881.6074) to have them combined (that is guaranteed). There is a fee for that, though.
I just started myvegas rewards, once we redeem our rewards I was told you need aMlife card. where do I get this card?
Hi Eleni.
You can sign up for it online at https://www.mlife.com/
You will still need to get the physical Mlife card at the Mlife desk when you get to the casino.
You can also sign up at the Mlife desk if you don’t want to sign up online, but some rewards (like comp rooms and room discounts) will require you to have an Mlife account in order to book your reservation.
Thank you. So If i’m staying at the Vdara I would need to regester an account there? Where are the mlife counters?
Sorry as this is a bit confusing for me lol
You can register at any MGM casino. Since Vdara doesn’t have a casino, they probably don’t have an Mlife desk (I’ve never checked). You can easily walk next door to Aria to get your Mlife card at Aria’s Mlife desk (located in the center of the casino).
Hi Mark’s thank you so much, starting to understand better!
You are welcome. You can find out a bit more about Mlife (including which casinos use Mlife) in my Mlife Players Club post.
Hi Mark,
Could I redeem the following four rewards with one account:
2-for-1 Tickets to LOVE at Mirage
2-for-1 Dinner Buffet at Mirage
2-for-1 Lunch Buffet at ARIA
Feast Buffet for 2 at Red Rock Casino
Yes. The Red Rock Reward isn’t part of the MGM 3 in 30 limitation.
Do you have to be staying at the hotel you redeemed your reward through? So if I redeem free play, do I have to be staying at that specific hotel?
For Freeplay, yes. Also, the higher amounts require longer stays at that specific hotel.
The other Rewards that require you to be staying at an MGM Resorts hotel only require that you be staying at an MGM Resorts hotel. It does not have to be the same hotel as the Reward.
Many of the Rewards do not require that you stay at an MGM Resort.
Check the details listed on each Reward for the specific details.
I’m a little confused. The complimentary room, it states that the reward must be used within 90 days of purchase. Can I redeem this for a room in September? Technically if I redeem this reward and I make reservations then I’m redeeming my award. Or do the mean that if I want to make a reservation in September I need to redeem my award in June?
Hi Jenny.
You are confused because it is confusing.
You need to make your reservation within 90 days of using your LP’s to purchase the reward. You can make your reservation for any available date (it can be further than 90 days away if those dates are available – if a September date is available now, you can book it now).
The way myVEGAS sees it, you aren’t actually ‘redeeming the reward’ until you check in for a comp room reward.
Check the travel window for the reward. It is on the second page of the reward (the page that shows up after you hit “Next”). Right now I am only seeing valid travel dates through June 30, 2016.
Thanks Mark for the quick response. I guess I should have read the fine print on the 2nd page. I love your site! Thanks for keeping us inform about Vegas!
Hey Mark,
Looking to arrive March 25-28th. I have 332,000 coins, looking for the best room deal for the weekend. What do you recommend I do?
If you want to use your LP’s to stay at an MGM Resort over a weekend, your only options are to get a 25% off Room Rate Reward or one that gives reduced rate for the weekend (like the Luxor $32 Weekday & $65 Weekend Rates Reward). Then you would have to check whether those dates are available.
My suggestion is to book your room directly through the hotel’s website, taking advantage of any special offer they might have (Like using New York – New York’s “CREATE YOUR OWN VEGAS HOLIDAY” offer to get 15% off) and then using your myVEGAS LP’s to cover things that you plan to do during your trip (like show tickets, dining discounts and Freeplay).
Hi Mark – any idea if the Maverick rides make up part of the 3 rewards within 30 days?
Thanks
They do not. The 3 in 30 only applies to MGM Resorts rewards.
Thanks
Hi Mark, me again 🙂
I have a trip to LV coming up in May. I have already claimed 1 KA ticket, 1 $59 Mirage room rate, 1 comp night at the Mirage. All 3 rewards have been redeemed and bookings made. Yesterday I also snagged $50 reward play at The Mirage – I have received the redemption code. But now, this is 4 rewards, so if I go to claim my $50 reward will they reject me and I will have to get a refund? Is there a ‘system’ control that should stop me from buying more Mlife awards beyond 3? Thanks!
Hi.
Those 3 Rewards are your 3 in 30. The $50 Freeplay would count as a 4th for that trip and will be denied (although you can always try).
myVEGAS does not prevent you from buying more Rewards than you can use. They do typically give you a warning that you may be exceeding your limit.
I use this to my advantage. For any given trip I will buy 4 or 5 Rewards to have available during the trip. I’ll use the ones that end up making the most sense while I am there and will cancel the others (or save them for another trip).
Cheers for the advice! It gave me no warning so I will try to redeem, and if anything just get a refund. Still waiting out for the elusive Maverick comp night flights, grrrrr!!!
Hi Aho/Mark
Any luck on getting the Maverick comp flights at all?? Are these rewards for a group of people or is this just for one comp flight for one person? On the grand canyon it does not state what the reward entails in terms of number of heads but it does state weight limits???
Hi.
The Maverick Comp flights are for 1 person. I just verified this with Maverick.
If you want the Vegas Nights flight, you are better off using the BOGO unless you are traveling solo.
I think it lists the weight limits as a standard protocol.
My friend and I are wanting to go to thunder down under tonight. I already redeemed my ticket but for some reason she doesn’t have the option to redeem hers. She was supposed to recurve an email to be able to and still hasn’t gotten one. We have to pick up tickets before 4 pm today! Plz help!

Hi.
You need to contact myVEGAS directly. You can go to http://support.myvegas.com/hc/en-us/requests/new or you may want to try going to the myVEGAS app page on Facebook.
Is the redemption code showing up under My Purchases? If she didn’t receive an email and it isn’t showing up under My Purchases in the game, she may not have completed the purchase.
Hi. I have enough points to redeem complimentary nights. I know its restricted to 3 per month, but would I be able to book 3 free nights in row in the same hotel??
In the past, you would have been able to do that. That isn’t possible now, though. And as I look at the Rewards, it appears that only the Midweek Comp Room Reward is available. That Reward is limited to 1 per account. You can use the discounted or flat rate room Rewards for multiple consecutive nights, though.
I purchased 2 buffets with my Vegas rewards and was unable to make the trip to Vegas. My rewards for these buffets expire on July 22nd. Can you tell me who to contact to get a refund of points if possible. Thanks
Hi.
You can find instructions about canceling Rewards in my How to Cancel a myVEGAS Reward post.
Hi Mark,
My friend and I each have a myvegas account. Can he redeem an item (like an appetizer) and I redeem an item (like a free pizza) for the same meal at the Wolfgang Puck?
Thanks,
EC
You should be able to make that happen, but it will require a little work (and maybe more food than you want). Both of those require the purchase of an entree, so you would each have to get an entree in addition to the appetizer and pizza. Also, to be safe, you would need to get separate checks since the offers “cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions or comps.” By doing separate checks they would technically be separate transactions, so you wouldn’t be combining the offers.
We are traveling to Vegas in August. We already have room reservations. I no longer see any shows that offer two tickets (looks like Zarkana isn’t available for 2 anymore, and when it was listed it was always sold out). I have over 2 million points, but looks like there’s nothing worthwhile to use them on anymore for two people?
Hi Ken!
I am also LP loaded now, but the rewards are somewhat crappy these days, so I may even have trouble spending them all given the 3 rewards limit!
What did you do in the end, are you left with a whole bunch of LP’s?
Thanks
Remember, the 3 in 30 days limitation only applies to MGM Resorts Rewards. Things like the Station Casinos, Wolfgang Puck, Mavericks, Smith Center, Hexx, House of Blues, etc. do not count towards the 3 in 30. They have their own specific limits as mentioned in the post.
Take Care,
Mark
I booked a room awhile back at palace station, I noticed rooms rewards got recycled an I will be able to purchase another room at Palace Station using my Lp’s. Can I stay there again a couple days later from my first book or is only 1 comp room a visit like Mgm properties? ( I have redeemed an Mgm Property comp room as well so I have used 2 rewards thus far so I should till have one left to redeem I think)
Please advise smile emoticon
Hi.
The Palace Station mid-week Comp Room Reward is limited to 3 per myVEGAS account. As long as you aren’t using 2 other Station Casinos Rewards within 24 hours of using the new Comp Room Reward, you should be fine.
Also, the Station Casinos Rewards don’t count towards the MGM 3 in 30 days limitation. You can use 3 MGM Rewards as well as the Station Casinos Rewards.
Hi Mark,
I have 2 questions, I hope you can answer:
– I’m going to Vegas at the end of september and like to stay at the Mandalay Bay for 3 consecutive nights. My husband and I have enough LP’s (about 550.000 together). Can I use my points to book a tuesday and thursday, and use my husband’s points to book the wednesday in between?
– It’s more than 90 days to our stay: can I book with my MyVegas points right now, and call Mandalay Bay within 3 weeks or something to make a reservation? And what if the rooms are available right now and are not at time I am making my phonecall to the reservationdesk?
Thank you for your time!
Wendy
Hi Wendy.
If the dates you need are available on the myVEGAS Room Rewards Calendars, get your Rewards and book the room now. You do not need to wait until the trip is 90 days away. The “Reward must be redeemed within 90 days” rule means that you must call to make the reservation within 90 days of using your LP’s to purchase the Reward.
You can stitch your trip together the way you suggest. Depending upon the myVEGAS rep you get, you may be able to have the 3 nights combined into 1 reservation, but the more typical scenario is that you will end up with 3 different reservations that can be combined when you check in to the hotel. They cannot guarantee that you won’t have to switch rooms, but they can usually combine it when you check in.
There are two problem I foresee with your situation. The first is that you can only get one of each Comp Room Reward type per account. You would need to use one Comp Room Bonus and one Comp Room on your account and then your husband would could purchase a Reward for his night. Also, you can’t combine the points in your accounts. You would need to purchase your Rewards and book your nights using your account and he would need to purchase his Reward and book his night using his account. You could redeem the Rewards on the same phone call, but you would need to do yours and then hand the phone over so he could do his.
Take Care,
Mark
I have 5 nights booked at Aria using a promotional rate through MLife. Can I still redeem my points and use the $69 rate at Mandalay Bay for an additional 2 nights or can it not be combined in the same trip?
Thank you,
J
If your rate at Aria is through an Mlife offer (and not through MyVEGAS) then it has no impact on your MyVEGAS Rewards limitation. You can use the $69 Mandalay Bay Reward for additional nights. The stays can be for consecutive nights.
To redeem points you have to call a number…. but they leave you on hold for over an hour…. still waiting on phone….
To redeem your Reward for a hotel room or show, you do have to call a number. I’d suggest trying to call at another time. I’ve been able to get through within minutes one day and experienced wait times of over 90 minutes the next.
My wife and I have enough Facebook Rewards for one midweek and one weekend each. I saw a previous post saying that we would have to make separate reservations and then combine them at check in which is fine.
However, when I look at the calendar it does not show weekend rooms in yellow(available) for our dates. We are coming in July 21-26. Between us we have 330,000 points.
Thanks, RS
Hi.
I’m not sure what your question is. It looks like Reward Rooms are not available for the dates you want.
Mark
I see you mentioned that you can use multiple of certain rewards like the weekday bonus comp rooms. I was hoping to get two weekday bonus rooms for Mirage in a row, but I think the small print is saying I can only use one. Unfortunately for the days I want the room (Nov 1 – 2), this would be my only option for two free nights. Maybe this recently changed? I wanted to get your input as I have only used these rewards once and am no expert.
That is a recent change. You used to be able to get 3 Comp Room Bonus Rewards (that was part of what made them different from the regular Comp Room Rewards). Now you can only get one per myVEGAS account. I have updated the post to reflect that.
Well that’s a bummer, but not a surprise I suppose… Thanks for the reply and for having such a helpful site!
Thanks! I’m glad you like my site.
Hi,
If I stay at Circus Circus for a few nights, can I purchase the cheaper buffet reward coupons with my myVegas LPs (the one’s marked with a key) or do I have to get the more expensive one’s that don’t require a stay at a MGM resort.
Theoretically I’m staying at a MGM property (Circus Circus), but it’s not listed on the mLife website…
Cheers,
Marc
I don’t know the official answer, but Circus Circus is an MGM Resorts International and should qualify. Circus Circus is not part of Mlife, though. Since the fine print says “any MGM Resorts International property” I’d give it a shot and argue it if they say no.
Hi,
We will start our Vegas vacation this June 7 to celebrate my husband’s birthday and have just redeemed points for 2-for-1 buffet at Aria & Bellagio and 2 shark reef passes at Mandalay Bay, so i think these were fulfilled the “3 in 30 Day MGM Rewards limit” policy. However, can I further redeem points for other non-MGM property hotels’ dining and monorail on the coming trip? Your advice is greatly appreciated!
Yes. Those 3 Rewards will take you to the “3 in 30 Day MGM Rewards limit”. You can still redeem up to 2 Station Casino Rewards every 24 hours and can purchase Monorail, House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck and Smith Center Rewards.
does anyone know when allegiant puts new coupons onmyvegas
Hi there, we are looking to go to vegas this july and stay the night at the Monte Carlo the 15, 16, 17, 18. Now my wife and I both have myvegas accounts so can I redeem one mid week room and one weekend room, and have her redeem one midweek room and one weekend room? Or will it let me redeem 3 nights of rooms and her 1 night? The comp room bonus schedule isn’t out yet so we are just going to assume for now that they are regular nights as our dates aren’t flexible (anniversary)
Also can we request whether the beds are one king or 2 queens when making the reservation, as well as non smoking? Any help would be very appreciated.
You will each need to redeem your own Rewards. They are separate accounts. They should be able to combine the reservations when you check in, though, so you shouldn’t have to switch rooms during your stay.
You can request king/2 queen beds as well as smoking or non-smoking. Just like a regular reservation, those are considered preferences and are not guaranteed.
If you mention that it is your anniversary when you check in, they might upgrade you to something like a spa suite (with a jacuzzi by the window). No promises, but it is worth mentioning.
Have Fun!
I have literally been on hold for over 35 minutes now. I’ve been calling for the past 3 days and I can’t get a hold of anyone. I’m just trying to book my reservation for a cirque du soleil show
I’ve had the same problem the last 3 days. I used my speaker phone so that I could multi-task while on hold, but I gave up after being on hold for 90 minutes. I used the hotel comp rewards the last 2 times I went to Vegas and I was never on hold for more than 15 minutes.
I haven’t tried to call lately, but I have seen both extremes. One day, I had to call multiple times with different issues, but I got through almost immediately each time. The next day it was almost 2 hours. I’m a big fan of using a speakerphone or bluetooth earpiece when calling them since you are probably going to be on hold for a while.
Redeemed/purchased points for 2 nights at Mandalay Bay. Dates listed for comp rooms were not available. Points were reversed back onto my account, but I can not my purchase 2 nights for any other hotel & casino because of the 3 purchase minimum. Tried for hours calling their support number but even after waiting on hold for 90 minutes, no representative picked up. I wouldn’t be able to make a room reservation even if my purchases were reset to zero because my call was not answered.
I have used my points in the past for rooms and dinners without a problem, but just can’t seem to get any help or support these past few days.
I’m not sure that I understand. You are allowed to use your LPs to get more than 3 Rewards. You just can’t redeem more than 3 in a 30 day period. It is not unusual for me to have 4 or 5 Rewards purchased for any given trip. I use the ones that end up fitting best while I am there and I cancel the ones that don’t. You may see a pop-up window warning that you might exceed the 3 Reward limit, but you should be able to click through that and purchase your Reward.
So sorry about the confusion. I cannot purchase more than 3 hotel comp deals within a 30 day period. Trip might be postponed, so the situation doesn’t affect me now , but next time I will make sure I am on the phone with the rewards customer service (if I can get through to them) to make sure rooms are available before I hit “purchase”.
Hello! I would like to redeem LP for one midweek comp room and one midweek comp room bonus. The only date the bonus comp room is available is on a Monday and the I want to use the comp room for Tuesday. Will that be a problem? Can I use them in that order on the same trip?
As long as the date is available for the specific Reward, you can use it. Using a Comp Room Reward for one night and a Comp Room Bonus Reward for a consecutive night is common practice. They do not have to be on a particular order. You can use the Comp Room Bonus for the first night and the Comp Room for the second.
Have Fun!
Mark
so what you are saying is that the wolfgang puck rewards are only a 1 time use but do not affect your 3x per month limit??
Exactly.
Purchased reward for Sugar Factory. Never received email to confirm. Wrote down confirmation code in MyVegas purchases. Can I just present the code I wrote down to Sugar Factory and they will give me discount on my purchase? The confirmation on MyVegas purchases will not print — so only have code I copied from it. Have never not had an email confirmation before — and can find no phone number to reach MyVegas
You don’t need the email. You just need the code. As long as it is showing up in your My Purchases as a Redemption Pending, you should be fine.
