Not too long ago if you tried to purchase a myVEGAS Reward while you were in Las Vegas, whether visiting or as a local, you would find only a handful of Rewards were available. This is changing. On a recent trip, I found that most Rewards were available. Freeplay and Comp Room Rewards were not available, but it appeared that everything else was. Even room rate discount rewards were available. The catch is that many of the prime Rewards now require at least a one night stay at an MGM resort.
Here are a few screen grabs of some of the Rewards that were available during a recent trip. Although I’m only showing a few of them here, you can see by the number of dots at the center of each image how many pages of Rewards are available for each hotel. If you have questions about specific Rewards, feel free ask in the comment section.
luxor has this midweek comp bonus room for 18000 chips. it says it’s valid for Sun-Thurs one night only excluding resort fee and taxes. I thought I read somewhere that comp room should be completely free. if I do have to pay fee/taxes, how much would it be approximately?
Hi Andy.
When myVEGAS started, those Comp Room Rewards also meant no resort fee. That didn’t last long. Now, you do need to pay the resort fee as well as the tax on that resort fee. At the Luxor, the resort fee is $20 per night. With tax, that is $22.40 per night.
That resort fee gets you a coupon book with “Over $800 in savings”, high-speed wired Internet in your room (not Wi-Fi), daily Fitness Center access, daily newspaper (from the lobby store), free 800, local and domestic long distance phone calls.
