I’m starting a new series, similar to my Mark’s Top 5 Rooms series.
This one is for resident production shows.
Coming in at Number 5 on my list is Legends In Concert at the Flamingo. (NOTE: This review was written long ago when the show was at the Flamingo. As of August 2023, it in the process of moving to The Orleans)
I don’t usually like tribute or impressionist shows. Legends In Concert is the exception to that rule. I think the fact that it has switched venues, but not gone away is another testament to how good the show is. The performers and live backing band do a great job. There is no lip-syncing or air guitar here. I was really impressed by the Michael Jackson and Elvis impersonators.
The current lineup (Feb 3, 2018-May 13, 2018) features Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, Sting, and Young Michael Jackson. Back up dancers help to complete the stage show. The lineup does change but you can see the current list of scheduled performers at on the Legends In Concert Las Vegas page.
The show is suitable for all ages.
Seating is showroom style with tables and booths. Performances are at 9:30pm Tuesday – Thursday and Saturday. There are early shows at 7:30pm on Sunday and Monday and matinees at 4:00pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The show is dark on Friday. The schedule does change from time to time, so I suggest checking their website for the latest updates.
As long as you are willing to wait until the day of the show to get tickets, I highly suggest getting half-price tickets from Tix4Tonight. Of course, if getting a good seat is important to you, buying tickets in advance is the way to go. When paying full price, floor seats range from $82-$61 and the balcony is $50, plus a service charge.
Legends just celebrated its 30th year on the Strip.
Here is a link to the Pulse of Vegas post about it.
