MGM Resorts started the project over a year ago and activated it in stages. Now you will be able to get free Wi-Fi in the low-rise public spaces at all MGM Resorts. That covers the casinos, lobbies, restaurants and pools at Aria, Bellagio, Excalibur, Luxor, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay (including THEhotel),  The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Vdara and The Shops at Crystals.

The public Wi-Fi system will be separate from the Wi-Fi for hotel guests which is included in the resort fee. The free Wi-Fi has a low bandwidth which is typically fine for checking email and social site updates, but users can opt to upgrade to a higher bandwidth for a fee.  The public Wi-Fi networks at all MGM Resorts are linked so that the user can experience seamless connectivity without having to log into a new Wi-Fi network when they move from one MGM Resort to another.
