Mark’s Las Vegas Deals

Mark’s Las Vegas Deals is now live.
It is my new hotel and show promotions page. Every week I will be updating the page with my top deals/suggestions for rooms and shows. I will have additional promos and deals on the Rooms and Shows pages.

Nothing will change here at Mark’s Las Vegas.  I’ve realized a shift in my audience, though, and felt the new site was a way to help address that. Mark’s Las Vegas was originally intended to help gamblers who received comped or casino rate rooms and conventioneers who had many of their room decisions already handled. As my site and audience grew, I discovered more readers were casual/recreational visitors who didn’t gamble enough to get comped rooms but were still interested in getting the best value (not just the cheapest room). I regularly get questions about good room rates and hotel offers from people who are not focused on gambling. The new site grew out of that.

myVEGAS adds Carnival Cruise Rewards

myVEGAS has added Carnival Cruise Line as a Partner.

Carnival Cruise Rewards are limited to 3 per player in a 90 day rolling period (similar to  the MGM Rewards 3 in 30 Days limitation, but this is 3 in 90). They are also limited to one Reward per sailing (which makes sense, since they are only offering cruises, not add-ons).

The Rewards are good for one room with 2 people. Rewards must be booked within 14 days (the cruise itself can be much further in the future – right now, dates through July 2018 are available)

High Roller Chocolate Experience

The High Roller Observation Wheel is now offering a chocolate tasting experience in addition to the regular, happy hour and yoga offerings.

The Chocolate Experience is a tasting of Ethel M Chocolates while riding the High Roller. Guests will learn about the origins of 5 different chocolates and how they were created. They are also paired with your choice of Red or White wine.

Tastings are available every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the final experience of the night taking place at 8 p.m.
Admission is $52 per person

Private cabins are available. A maximum of 15 guests per cabin.
Tickets are available at the High Roller Box Office or online. To make a reservation or for more information, call 702.322.0593.

Foundation Room Happy Hour

The Foundation Room  at Mandalay Bay is one of my favorite Las  Vegas spots. Good music, food, drink and a great view of the Strip. It is a nightclub after 10pm, but if you are looking for a more relaxed, accessible way to experience it, check out their Nibbles & Sips happy hour. It runs 5p-8p Sunday-Thursday.  Lounge access is free during happy hour and they have $10 small plates/appetizers and $5 drink specials as well as the full menu and full bar.  Early in the evening it is quiet enough to hold a conversation and finding a table in the lounge or a spot at  the bar is relatively easy.

Bellagio Fountain Schedule Update – November 2016

The Bellagio Fountain song schedule has been updated.   It is a bit of a departure from the previous song order. They have also added 2 more songs each day since they are running every 15 minutes starting at 7:00pm now (instead of 8:00pm). You can see the full schedule  in my  Bellagio Fountain Show song list and schedule, which will always have the most recent schedule I have available.
