Venetian adds a mobile app

The Venetian has joined the mobile app trend with The VP Las Vegas Pocket Concierge app.  The app is free and is available for Android and Apple iOS.

The app is a mobile version of the Venetian/Palazzo website and includes room, dining and entertainment info.  The restaurant section includes menus and allows you to make reservations via built in links to the OpenTable website.  The room section gives you detailed descriptions of each room type and allows you to make reservations via a link to the Venetian’s website.  The app’s description mentions exclusive offers, but the offers currently listed are exactly the same as the ones you will find on the Venetian website.

The app has GPS integration and includes a facilities map and quick-links to help you get to the nearest ATM, parking area, customer service desk, exit or restroom as well as directions to get to each restaurant and other amenities.

Social Savings in Las Vegas

Almost every casino has Facebook, TwitterFoursquare and SMS-text based platforms to let you know what they have to offer and to send you special discounts and promotions.

MGM Resorts has also created iPhone and Android apps with casino details and special offers. They are basically miniature versions of the casino’s full website (including property maps so you can find your way around!). The apps even let you make room and dining reservations. MGM Resorts has made a separate app for each of their casinos. If you are only interested in their shopping or entertainment options, they have the Shop MGM Resorts and the Entertainment of Las Vegas apps just for that.
