Total Rewards 2016 update

Caesars’ Total Rewards has made a few changes to the program for 2016 (like they do every year). The one change that will affect most players is the adjustment of the tier expiration from March 31 to January 31. This applies to tier status earned in 2015 as well.
The date change shouldn’t have a big impact, but it does give you 2 fewer months if you decide to cut back. Earning a higher tier status this month (January 2016) will still get you that status through the end of January 2018 even if you stop playing. The tier earning period is still January 1 – December 31

Las Vegas Diamond Lounges

(Updated January 2018)

Total Rewards Diamond Lounges are private VIP lounges where Diamond and Seven Stars members can relax, get a free drink and a snack away from the casino floor. The specifics vary from lounge to lounge, but as a general rule they have a small bar, tables with cocktail service and a small buffet featuring chips and veggies throughout the day and  a small hot food assortment during dinner hours.

A new policy is starting in January 2018. Diamond Lounge will only be free to players who earned at least 25,000 Tier Credits in 2017.  For Diamond members earning less than 25,000 Tier Credits, access will be 1,000 Reward Credits for the member and an additional 1,000 for their guest.

They want to make the lounges “more intimate” and I think the new fees will do that. While I have enjoyed access to the lounges, I would not consider them worth a $10 cover. Continue reading Las Vegas Diamond Lounges

The Palm Power Lunch

One of my favorite Vegas specials is something that you can get at home, too, as long as you have The Palm Restaurant in your town. It is The Palm Power Lunch (formerly the Business Lunch). It is a 3-course meal   available daily from  11:30am-3:00pm.
I stumbled onto it years ago when it was under $20. Now it is $25.90,  but still a good deal as far as I’m concerned.  Continue reading The Palm Power Lunch

myVEGAS adds “my Konami Slots” app

PlayStudios, the makers of myVEGAS, have added a new “my KONAMI  Slots” app to the myVEGAS family. It is a standalone app (not just a new game in the existing myVEGAS app) featuring Konami slots like Lotus Land, China Mystery and Lion Festival.   The new app has its own daily spin and 4 hour bonus chip collection.   Your myVEGAS Slots  and Konami Slots chip totals are independent of each other, but both apps   sync   to your  existing myVEGAS account and   Loyalty Points.
